Cognitive Desktop
Mac · Windows · Linux

Your agents, on your own computer.

Cognitive Desktop runs Daniel right on your machine. Point it at a folder, say what you need, and come back to finished work. Your files stay where they are and your keys are stored only on your computer. The agent sends the model only what it needs to read, using your own Anthropic key.

How it works

Private by default. Careful with your work.

Desktop is the same engine as the Daniel web app, running locally instead of in our cloud.

Works on your folders

Pick any folder on your computer. Code repositories get their own isolated copy, and the result lands as a new git branch for you to review.

Nothing overwritten blindly

Plain folders are updated in place, with every original file backed up first so you can always go back.

Your keys stay home

Your Anthropic key and any GitHub, Jira or Slack tokens are stored only on this computer, in a file only your account can read.

Keeps going

Every step is saved to disk, so a mission picks up where it left off after a restart or a crash.

Download

The first installers are being prepared. Leave your details and we'll send you a download link as soon as your platform is ready.

macOSApple silicon and Intel. Needs git; your Mac offers to install it the first time.
WindowsWindows 10 and 11. Install Git for Windows first; Daniel uses its bash.
LinuxAppImage and .deb. Needs git.

Desktop uses your own Anthropic API key, so model usage is billed by Anthropic to you directly.

On the roadmapAgents that can also work across the other apps on your desktop. We'll share it when it's ready, not before.
